Methyl bromide

Solid wood packaging materials (e.g., pallets) imported to the US must
have been fumigated with methyl bromide gas to kill any insects living
in the wood. Is there any evidence that such treated wood should NOT be
chipped for use as boiler fuel? Thanks for any references.
