Dear P2TECH-ies: Nominations are being sought for the 2006 EPA Web Workgroup Achievement Awards, which honor outstanding achievements by EPA staff, contractors and/or grantees in the field of web site design and implementation. The awards winners will be selected from among the nominees and will be honored at the EPA Web Working Group meeting, March 13, 2007. Nominations MUST be received by the selection committee (see below) prior to 5 p.m. PST, January 12, 2007. Awards are given in consideration of the following criteria: - Outstanding Content creation and management - Innovative Use of Information technology applications - Web accessibility - Systemwide policies and procedures (including human resources enhancements which support careers of Web professionals) - Leadership of Web organizations, standing committees or project committees that have made exceptionally valuable contributions in one of these categories Nominations are for activities that took place during 2006. Multi-year and ongoing activities are eligible, as long as they were ongoing during some part of 2006. Either individuals or teams may be nominated. Self-nominations are allowed and encouraged. Nominees may include EPA contractors and/or grantees, but all nominated teams must include at least one EPA employee who has played a significant role in the nominated activity or web site.
