The US EPA Environmental Financial Advisory Board (EFAB)is hosting a workshop designed to improve EPA's understanding of the appropriate role of environmental considerations by the financial sector in making investment decisions. The workshop will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, June 12 at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's Potomac Yard Conference Center located at One Potomac Yard, 2777 Crystal Drive Arlington, VA 22202.
The goal of the workshop is to collect information and ideas with respect to how professionals in the areas of commercial banking/lending, equity investment, and insurance use or do not use a corporation's environmental information such as Environmental Management Systems (EMS) in their work. The day will be structured to address this issue via a series of panel discussions involving experts in these areas focusing on the chemical sector. The participants on the panels represent a range of expertise encompassing commercial banks, investment banks, rating agencies, the insurance industry, chemical companies, and academia.
You may browse EFAB's website for more detailed information about its work. If you have any questions regarding the workshop or the Board, please Mr. Timothy McProuty by phone at (202) 564-4996 or via email at email@example.com.
