I was wondering if
anyone has any resources or experience in retrofitting PERC dry cleaning
machines? We recently did a P2 Assessment at a facility and they are interesting
in retrofitting two existing PERC machines (Realstar M400) to a hydrocarbon
solvent. They currently operate two hydrocarbon machines using Exxon Mobile
DF2000 in addition to the PERC machines. They prefer the cleaning of
the hydrocleaning machines and use of a less hazardous cleaning agent. They
would like to eliminate the use of the PERC but the machines are only 7 years
old and are in like-new condition. Facility owners would like to retrofit if
possible. Any information on the feasibility or cost for such a task? Thanks for
any information!
