Sustainability?
"
Organized citizens and small businesses of Frederick County, MD want to
know:
Pro or Con: Is a 1500-tons per
day garbage incineration plant, planned by the Board of County
Commissioners, compatible with a sustainable environment and
economy?
The Institute for Local Self-Reliance and small local businesses based in
Frederick County are offering a $250 prize for the best answer to this
question.
Answers may be in prose (500 words or less), cartoon or graphic
depiction.
Send answers to ILSR, 927 15th Street, NW, 4th
Floor, Washington, DC 20005.
ILSR will forward all responses to a citizens committee comprised of
Frederick County citizens, small business people and elected
officials
All submissions must be dated no later than 30 September 2008. The winner
will be announced by 31 October 2008 and the prize money forwarded
immediately thereafter.
