Re: Alternatives for open burning, open detonation treatment of hazwaste

Disposal resources that may provide options

EPA "Handbook on the Management of Munitions Response Actions" discusses different methods of disposal. It may not have much on P2 but I'm not sure how you could with such a dangerous material.

Folks,

Is anyone aware of alternative technologies for management of explosives
other than open burning/open detonation? I know this is not a typical P2
question. We have done much to reduce the waste streams at the source and
develop greener alternatives but still have the need to do some treatment.

Any help would be appreciated.
