The P2 Results Data System
has been in use on a national scale for the past two
years. Every P2RX center hosts a Regional Aggregation Module
set up to collect validated data from each program in their
region. Calls for data have previously been issued for the
years 2004, 2005 and 2006. The call for 2007 data was issued
in October of 2008.
The data collected will help demonstrate the P2 activities of agencies,
as well as the positive changes of their clients as a result of their
activities. In addition, the data will help quantify P2
progress related to air, water, waste, and energy resources. This model
is also designed to translate P2 progress into the context of
bigger-picture issues such as climate change, habitat, and
sustainability.
This information can give managers, funders, and the public a better
sense of the benefits of pollution prevention, which include reduced
public health risk, improved environmental health, improved business
performance, sustainable business practices, and local and regional
economic vitality.
If you are new to the P2 Results Data System, have heard of it but want
more information, or would simply like a bit of a refresher, join us
for a webinar on December 17th. We will provide an overview
of the system, a look at some of the completed and next step
improvements and how the data is used for reporting
results. Q&A will follow.
