ISIE 2009 Call for Papers EXTENDED



Dear colleagues,

The International Society for Industrial Ecology (ISIE) will hold its 5th International Conference, ISIE 2009, from June 21-24, 2009 in Lisbon, Portugal.

The deadline for submission of abstracts has been extended to
December 26, 2008.

The theme of the conference is Transition towards Sustainability, with the following conference topics:
  1. Sustainable consumption
  2. Designing sustainable cities the urban and the social metabolisms
  3. Industrial Ecology (IE) tools for sustainability
  4. Visions on new IE based paradigms towards sustainability
  5. Sustainable resource management
  6. Managing end-of-life products
  7. Industrial symbiosis
  8. Eco-design: products and services of the future
  9. Industrial Ecology in developing countries
Abstracts are invited on any of these topics and can be submitted until December 12 26, 2008 at

Abstracts will be reviewed by the Technical Committee. Authors will be notified of abstract approval and form of presentation (oral or poster) by January 16, 2009. Contributions from emerging countries are particularly welcome.
