SG-W:/ School site to stop using lawn pesticides

The Washtenaw Intermediate School District (WISD) has called a moratorium
on the use of pesticides on the WISD campus. The campus houses High Point
School for students with severe disabilities; the Honey Creek Community
School; the Ann Arbor Public Schools Preschool Program; and Gretchen's
House IV, a WISD-sponsored day care center. The WISD has formed a
subcommittee to review the issue, and plans to landscape with native
plants. The Native Plant Nursury will be consulting with the committee.

Congratulations go to Kay Wozniak for spearheading this effort, and
congratulations to the WISD for doing the right thing!
