Just so everyone knows, it is not necessary to declare a party when running 
for local office.  If you think there is no chance to win as a Democrat and 
can't justify running as a Republican, you may run as an Independent.  
Several people have done that successfully, including Bridgewater Township 
supervisor Carol Peacock.  The deadline for such a declaration is July as 
opposed to May 16 for party affiliation.
