MARK YOUR CALENDAR!!
In the spirit of trying to announce events earlier:
The next "Full Moon Campfire" at LeFurge Woods will be held on Saturday, May
20th beginning at sunset. Bring lawn chairs and campfire refreshments (and
possibly insect repellent--but mosquitoes usually become inactive after
dark). Hosted by Southeast Michigan Land Conservancy and Superior Land
Conservancy, these enjoyable and friendly campfires are open to all. Bring
kids, friends & neighbors.
The entrance to the LeFurge Woods campfire is on the east side of Prospect
Road, exactly 1/2 mile north of Geddes Road in Superior Township (or 2 1/2
miles south of Ford Road). Follow the driveway into the property, and go to
the left towards the campfire area.
This will be a special "Celebration Campfire", since the day before we will
be closing on the new 80 acres which we are purchasing to add to the existing
171-acre LeFurge Woods property. Thanks to all who have supported our
efforts--donations are always welcome. ; ) Thanks, too, to those who
loaned us money to finance the purchase!
If you didn't hear about our purchase plans, you can read the Ann Arbor News
article online at:

E-mail me with an address if you'd like me to send you a brochure about our
group. Hope to see you at the campfire!

P.S. For those who wish to plan ahead, the other campfire dates for this
year are:
June 17; July 15; Aug. 12; Sept. 16; and Oct. 14. All dates are on the
Saturday closest to the full moon. Campfires begin at sunset. Free camping
is optional, to individuals or to groups, but please inquire ahead of time.
