SG-W:/ Sierra Club's February 20 Meeting: Don't Hit the Tree, and Other Tips for Cross Country Skiers

Friends,

Whether you're a novice cross-country skier or an expert, you should enjoy
and benefit from this month's Sierra Club/Huron Valley Group meeting on
Tuesday, February 20. Long-time Sierra Club and Ann Arbor Ski Club member
Norm Roller will share the accumulated wisdom from decades of cross-country
skiing experience (and accidents!) in a presentation titled "Don't Hit the
Tree, and Other Tips for Cross Country Skiers."

After Norm's presentation, our social hour offers a chance to meet
people who share your interests in exploring, enjoying, and protecting
nature. You can also learn about local Sierra Club activities ranging
from hikes and ski trips to conservation campaigns. EarthCash shopping
vouchers will be available, so don't forget to bring your checkbook.

Sierra Club/Huron Valley Group General Meetings are held on the third
Tuesday of each month at the beautiful Matthei Botanical Gardens, located
at 1800 N. Dixboro Road (between Geddes and Plymouth Roads, east of
US-23), beginning at 7:30 pm. Meetings are free and open to the public.
Newcomers are welcome; no membership is required.

I hope to see you at Tuesday's meeting. Please feel free to forward this
message to others who might be interested.

- Mike Sklar
