SG-W:/ April 17 Sierra Club/Huron Valley Group Event: "Bringing the Prairie Home"

Friends,

Even for those of us without a city park or wildlife refuge for a neighbor,
nature can be as close as your back yard. On Tuesday, April 17, David
Mindell will explain how you can turn your yard into a natural ecosystem
that looks great and is easy to maintain. His presentation is titled
"Bringing the Prairie Home: Residential Native Landscapes."

After the presentation, our social hour offers a chance to meet people who
share your interests in exploring, enjoying, and protecting nature. You can
also learn about local Sierra Club activities ranging from hikes and ski
trips to conservation campaigns. EarthCash shopping vouchers will be
available, so don't forget to bring your checkbook.

Sierra Club/Huron Valley Group General Meetings are held on the third
Tuesday of each month at the beautiful Matthei Botanical Gardens, located at
1800 N. Dixboro Road (between Geddes and Plymouth Roads, east of US-23),
beginning at 7:30 pm. Meetings are free and open to the public. Newcomers
are welcome; no membership is required.

I hope to see you at Tuesday's meeting. Please feel free to forward this
message to others who might be interested.
