Looking for something novel to do on Friday night? Consider walking slowly
down the middle of Main Street in Ann Arbor with a few of your friends.
No, this is not a quick way to get yourself run over or arrested. It's
the Ann Arbor Green Fair.
>From 6 to 9 p.m. on Friday (6/22) Main Street will be filled with people
celebrating Ann Arbor's commitment to the environment. The only cars to
be found on this pedestrian-mall-for-a-night will be the ones in the Clean
Car exhibit, where new natural gas, electric, and hybrid vehicles will be
there for you to inspect. Forty environmental groups will also be on hand
to show you what they are up to, with everything from wild animals to
petitions to save the wild. Kids to codgers will find entertainment and
education somewhere on Main Street.
Come see what everyone will be talking about next week.
