NATURAL RESOURCES COMMISSION TO MEET SEPTEMBER 13-14 IN
CHELSEA

LANSING-- The Natural Resources Commission will hold its
regular monthly meeting September 13-14, at the Gerald E.
Eddy Discovery Center, Waterloo Recreation Area, Chelsea.
The Committee of the Whole convenes on Thursday at 3 p.m.;
Partners in Responsible Conservation Awards will take place
at 4 p.m. and the regular meeting of the NRC will begin at
4:30 p.m. with public appearances.
On Friday, September 14, the meeting begins at 8:30 a.m.
with reports from DNR Director K.L. Cool and staff. The
Commission will receive information on several items,
including:
* Statewide Trout, Salmon, Whitefish and Lake Herring
Regulations
* Spawning Closures
* Michigan-Wisconsin Boundary Waters Regulations
Commission action on these items is expected at the October
meeting in Lansing.
A complete agenda for the September 13-14 meeting can be
found on the DNR Web site at www.michigandnr.com. Click on
"NRC Information," then "Agendas and Minutes." The agenda
also is available from Teresa Gloden at 517-373-2352.
The NRC invites interested citizens to make comments and
recommendations at the meeting, and public appearances may
be scheduled by calling Teresa Gloden at 517-373-2352.
Directions to the Eddy Discovery Center: Take I-94 to exit
157 (Pierce Road) and go north to Bush Road. Take Bush Road
west to the Discovery Center. Persons with disabilities
needing accommodations for the meeting should contact Teresa
Gloden at the number above to request mobility, visual,
hearing or other assistance.
