SG-W:/ Public Workshop on Liberty Plaza

Ann Arbor Parks and Recreation, the Downtown
Development Authority and Partners for Places announce
a public workshop. The theme of this workshop will be
Creating a Vision for Liberty Plaza (a public space in
the heart of Ann Arbor's downtown).

Date: Saturday, June 1, 2002
Time: 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Place: IT Zone (next to Liberty Plaza)
330 E. Liberty St. Ann Arbor MI

Building on the successes of the park, this community
workshop will be a collaborative exercise in vision
building. Participants will get an opportunity to
visit the plaza to make structured observations and
then return and "brainstorm" in small breakout groups.
The insights and observations that are generated will
be used to develop a strategy for making this a vital
downtown gathering space.
Come join Mayor John Hieftje, city officials, local
business owners, police officers and residents as we
jointly work to improve Ann Arbor's downtown.
