      Government will not dredge pleasure harbors

      During a conference about dredging Friday in Muskegon, representatives 
from pleasure harbors on the Great Lakes were told by the Army Corps of 
Engineers that the federal government will not dredge their harbors this 
summer.

      'Stop Asian Carp Act' aims to protect Great Lakes

      The battle continues to keep Asian Carp out of the Great Lakes. 
There's a new bill called the "Stop Asian Carp Act" designed to protect our 
precious waterways. It was introduced in the House and Senate last week.

      The Great Lakes are dependant on the snow pack and the spring runoff 
to refill the lakes every year. We had a chance to talk to an expert at the 
Army Corp of Engineers in Detroit where they closely monitor the rise and 
fall of our most important natural resource.
