Study says Muskegon Lake shoreline restoration worth tens of millions of 
dollars for the community

Over a 10-year period, the $10 million Muskegon Lake, Mich., habitat 
restoration project will generate, conservatively, $66 million in economic 
benefits. The NOAA grant being used to restore the lakeshore was granted to 
the Great Lakes Commission and is being managed locally by the West Michigan

Carp-stopping dam plan killed in Minnesota House committee

app for that. The Lake Ontario Waterkeeper, a Toronto-based group dedicated 
to the health of the Lake Ontario watershed, has developed an application

Lighthouses keep the flame of tradition alive

Thinking about lighthouses may conjure images of a lonely keeper standing on 
a balcony, gazing out over a dark sea and cloudy night, keeping watch for 
the safety of passing ships. Those images are also a part of Michigan's

Phragmites spraying along Lake Michigan in Wisconsin proposed

The DNR will begin spraying 3,600 acres along 118 miles of Lake Michigan 
shoreline properties in Brown, Door, Manitowoc, Marinette, Oconto and
