Ohio House OKs Lake Erie water withdrawal

The Ohio House voted 60-37 to approve a bill allowing heavy manufacturers, 
mining operations, power plants, and other businesses to draw up to 5 
million gallons of water a day directly from Lake Erie before facing

Maritime program for teachers includes stops in Manitowoc

The Great Lakes Maritime Transportation Teacher Institute being held in 
northeastern Wisconsin this week includes stops at the Wisconsin Maritime 
Museum and S.S. Badger today, according to a news release from the museum.
