      Grand Marais kayaker finishes solo expedition

      After failing at his first attempt in 2009, a Photographer and outdoor enthusiast from Grand Marais is celebrating after a solo kayaking expedition. Bryan Hansel just wrapped up a 45 day, 800 mile trip on two of the Great Lakes.

      A massive coastal restoration project is underway in the Northland, at Wisconsin's Newton Creek and Hog Island inlet. 
      
      Sewage dumping focus of a quest to clear up Lake Ontario

      Laws prevent the discharge of raw sewage directly into Lake Ontario. But they don't apply to chemically treated waste collected on large boats.
