      Asian carp DNA found in Great Lakes

      More evidence of Asian carp DNA has been found above the electric fish barrier that was created to try to keep the invasive fish out of the Great Lakes. 
      
      New exhibit in the Point Betsie Lighthouse 
      The Nature Conservancy (7/21)
      An informational exhibit inside the historic Point Betsie Lighthouse in Benzie County, Mich, was installed by The Nature Conservancy. The exhibit features information about dune conservation on Lake Michigan.

      A cruise ship from Cleveland and a number of dignitaries were on hand for the dedication of a new dock on the Detroit River capable of handling cruise ships. 
      
      Shipwreck hunters find 150-year-old schooner in Lake Ontario

      Undersea explorers have discovered a 19th-century, three-masted Canadian schooner that sank with a cargo of coal in Lake Ontario in 1906. 
      
      Federal officials deem waters environmental success story

      Federal officials agreed the Black River is an environmental success story with more chapters to come. 
      
      Lake St. Clair shoreline a haven for muck, e.coli 
      The Daily Tribune (7/2)
      Identifying all of the causes of the growing muck problem along Lake St. Clair's shoreline appears to be about as clear as mud.
