Toxic chromium found in Chicago's drinking water

Chicago's first round of testing for a toxic metal called hexavalent chromium found that levels in local drinking water are more than 11 times higher than a health standard California adopted last month. Source: The Miami Herald (8/8)


State Sen. Tim Grendell claims more water flows into Lake Erie then flows out

There has been debate focused on House Bill 231, a piece of legislation that was supposed to implement the eight-state Great Lakes Compact that Ohio agreed to be a part of in 2008. Sea lamprey might be loving all the attention paid to Asian carp -- if their real love wasn't just sucking the juices out of fish in the Great Lakes.
