'Windsor Hum' piques Foreign Affairs' curiosity

Ottawa is sending a man to Windsor to get to the bottom the "Windsor hum" --  
described as a low frequency rumbling sound -- has been sparking complaints 
from residents on the city's west side for more than a year. A federal study 
suggests the hum may be coming from the U.S. side of the Detroit River, in 
the general area of Zug Island, an industrial site. Source: The Canadian

Hamilton Harbour to miss cleanup goal

Hamilton Harbour won't meet a long-standing goal of being delisted as a 
Great Lakes area of concern by 2015. Delays in upgrades to the city's 
Woodward Avenue sewage treatment plant and on the capping of the notorious 
coal tar blob at Randle Reef have pushed the target date back by five years.

Camp, Stabenow urge expanded fight against Asian carp

Two Michigan lawmakers (Sen. Debbie Stabenow, D-Lansing, and Rep. Dave Camp,
