New plan for regulating water levels to be discussed

A public information session in Buffalo Tuesday will discuss a new plan by 
U.S. and Canadian officials to alter the way water levels are controlled in

Historic ship Keewatin in Lake Michigan on way to Canada

The 105-year-old steamship Keewatin cleared the Kalamazoo River channel at 
Saugatuck about 12:30 today and headed north into Lake Michigan. The 
Keewatin will be the center of a redeveloped waterfront park at its new home

Vt-based lake freighter does 1812 war history tour

Canadian capital of Ottawa before reaching Lake Ontario and touring New 
York's Erie Canal as part of a summer-long tour designed to help commemorate

Record lake trout caught in Lake Erie

Last week the PA Fish and Boat Commission confirmed that Todd Young of 
Nazareth, Pa., set a state record for lake trout with a fish weighing 29 
pounds, 4 ounces. The fish topped the previous record of 27 pounds, 13
