Asian carp DNA found in Sandusky waters

The search for Asian carp in Lake Erie has moved to the Sandusky River and 
Sandusky Bay, where 20 of 150 water samples collected in early August tested 
positive for the presence of silver carp environmental DNA, or eDNA. Source:

Man-made reef aids spawning fish

Researchers were able to show off the first success of a project Tuesday to 
restore spawning habitat in the St. Clair River's Middle Channel for lake

Restoring Red Arrow Beach

Lake Michigan Committee wants to reduce salmon stocking

The number of salmon stocked in Lake Michigan would be reduced sharply for 
three years under a proposal designed to maintain a balance between sport 
fish and their food sources and to protect a multi-billion-dollar fishing

Wisconsin, Michigan beaches get $2.6 million to protect water quality

Zebra mussels confirmed in Lake Ore-Be-Gone

The slow but insidious spread of zebra mussels into more Minnesota lakes and 
rivers continues, with the Department of Natural Resources confirming 
Tuesday that the invasive mussels have invaded Lake Ore-Be-Gone in Gilbert.
