Clean Water Act turns 40

Port Authority seeks funds to pay for infrastructure projects

The Cleveland-Cuyahoga County Port Authority is asking Cuyahoga County, Oh., 
voters to approve a replacement levy that would generate about $18 million 
annually for five years, and would be used for public capital investments in

No discharge zones sought for St. Lawrence River

The New York  State Department of Environmental Conservation has submitted 
petitions to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to designate New York's 
portion of Lake Erie and the St. Lawrence River as a "Vessel Waste No

Lake Michigan level touches record low for month

Lake Michigan kissed its record low water level for October on one day last 
week. Federal officials now predict the world's fifth largest lake is likely

McGuinty resigns: Dalton McGuinty resigns as premier

Ontario Premier Dalton McGuinty stepped down on Monday. McGuinty says he

be exciting. However, the animals are 350 kilometers from their normal
