Source: The Associated Press (11/2) With near record-low Lake Michigan water levels, dredging projects on the way in South Haven ------------------------------------------------- With water levels in Lake Michigan approaching record lows, the city of South Haven is considering marina dredging projects this winter. Paul VandenBosch, harbormaster for the city of South Haven, said he expects the city council to approve a bid for the projects at its Dec. 3 meeting. This enabled the healthier air and water we enjoy today. But the task of protecting our children from environmental toxins, our urban residents from industrial pollution, and keeping our Great Lakes waters fishable and swimmable is a formidable challenge.
