Fate uncertain for Great Lakes' last coal steamer

The SS Badger, the last working coal-fired passenger steamer on the Great 
Lakes, faces decommission as the EPA exemption allowing it to dump coal ash

Lake Erie heavily eroded by Sandy

Superstorm Sandy did some super damage to Lake Erie's shoreline. The wind 
and waves were so ferocious, they toppled breakwalls and washed away parts

Minn. DNR restoring sturgeon on St. Louis River

After 30 years of work, there is evidence that the once-absent lake sturgeon 
are naturally reproducing in the St. Louis River, in large part due to the
