Hello!

The Michigan State University Museum is pleased to announce the Food,
Farming and Community curriculum aimed at adult education about
contemporary local food systems and sustainable agriculture. Six lessons
span topics from making personal connections to food to global food
policies. The curriculum can be used in a variety of settings such as
libraries, classrooms, faith-based groups, and community groups.

The curriculum consists of:

     * Facilitator Guide

        * Learner Packet
        * Powerpoint slides

Sessions/Lessons:

        * Introduction to Food, Farming, and Community

        * How Should We Grow? Comparing Food Systems

        *       The Food Footprint

        * The High Cost of Cheap Food
   * How Did We Get Here? The Development of the "Modern" Food System
      * Strategies for Supporting Sustainable Food Systems
