*Rally for Clean Energy Jobs Hits Lansing Capitol***

*Groups, citizens from across Michigan join fight against coal plants*

LANSING – Concerned citizens from across Michigan will flood the State
Capitol lawn on Wednesday, July 29, to rally for clean energy jobs and urge
Gov. Jennifer Granholm and the Legislature to jumpstart Michigan’s
struggling economy by increasing investments in one of the few growth
sectors of the global economy: clean renewable energy.

Buses will be unloading people at the Capitol at 2:30 p.m. to hear from
various speakers calling on Granholm to protect Michigan citizens from the
powerful coal special interests trying to send Michigan backwards with eight
coal plant proposals on the drawing board and chase away jobs.

*The event will provide outstanding visuals for TV, print and radio,
including citizens dunking “coal barons,” an online action tent and large
crowds of citizens calling for action.*
