           Site of the Month: Great Lakes-Northern Forest Cooperative Ecosystem Studies Unit

            GLIN's April Site of the Month is the Great Lakes-Northern Forest Cooperative Ecosystem Studies Unit, a broad network of professionals from federal land management and natural resource research organizations. Its mission is to conduct a program of research, technical assistance and education that involves the biological, physical, social and cultural sciences needed to address, manage and preserve Great Lakes Northern Forest ecosystems. 
           
               
           Ohio State's Stone Laboratory

            Established in 1895, Stone Laboratory is the oldest freshwater biological field station in the United States and the center of Ohio State University's teaching and research on Lake Erie.

           Huron Mountain Wildlife Foundation

            The Huron Mountain Wildlife Foundation was established in 1955 to encourage and support scientific study of the living things, lands, and waters of the Lake Superior region.

           
           Boundary Waters Treaty

            2009 is the 100th anniversary of the Boundary Waters Treaty, which sets principles to guide the United States and Canada in managing the waters they share. This website celebrates a century of cooperation.
