"I do now realize - the Great Lakes have suggested to me - that in the
most important ways, water is water, and the human soul being what it
is, proximity is proximity."

Weekly Editorial

In this week's editorial, In Support of Environmental Journalism, Gary
Wilson discusses the new Frontline report Poisoned Waters and what we
can do to prevent the Great lakes from turning into the next
Chesapeake Bay.

- Respond to Gary's Editorial -

"Money alone will not restore the Lakes. Failing to confront the
special interests and reluctant politicians, who claim to be lakes
advocates but do only the minimum, does harm, It will leave the Great
Lakes in 20 years where the Chesapeake is today, on the verge of
collapse."

 April's Monthly Feature: New Poll!

Each month we premier one of three added features of the Great Lakes
Town Hall. These three consist of Opinion Polls, 5 Questions and the
Great Lakes Spotlight.

This month, the Great Lakes Town Hall poses a new question for the
readers:

Do you favor sharing Great Lakes water on a short-term basis to save
human lives during emergencies in water impoverished areas?

-Absolutely yes.

-Yes, if...

-Maybe, depending on...

-No, except for...

-Absolutely not.
