            Canada - U.S. Great Lakes Water Quality Agreement 
            2009 Biennial Meeting

            GLIN's August Site of the Month is the The Canada - U.S. Great Lakes Water Quality Agreement (GLWQA) 2009 Biennial Meeting. The meeting is held by the International Joint Commission and will take place October 7-8 in Windsor, Ontario. Every two years, scientists and the public are invited to gather and discuss issues relating to the Great Lakes and to assist the IJC with preparing its Biennial Report on the GLWQA.

            Slides from the presentations being given by the U.S. EPA at the Great Lakes Restoration Initiative Stakeholder Meetings and a form for public comment are now available online. 

           
           Invasive Species Experts Directory

            This online national directory of invasive species experts, developed by the Aquatic Nuisance Species Task Force, is designed to assist with identification of and rapid response to invasive species. 

           
           National Environmental Public Health Tracking Network
            ephtracking.cdc.gov 
            The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention launched the Environmental Public Health Tracking Network, a tool scientists, health professionals, and - for the first time - the public can use to track environmental exposures and chronic health conditions.
