Dear Great Lakes partners, We are excited to make three announcements pertaining to the Sustain Our Great Lakes program. First, Sustain Our Great Lakes is currently offering funding through its Community Grants Program and Stewardship Grants Program. These programs support habitat restoration, protection and enhancement projects, invasive species control, water quality improvements, and watershed planning and management within the Great Lakes basin. The Requests For Proposals are now available at www.sustainourgreatlakes.org (Click on Apply). Please consider submitting an application by the October deadlines. Second, although we have referenced it a couple of times already, we are now pleased to announce the official launch of our new website at: www.sustainourgreatlakes.org. We developed this site to: Increase awareness of the Sustain Our Great Lakes program -Inform potential grantees about new funding opportunities and provide access to Requests For Proposals -Share information about previously funded projects and program accomplishments -Provide information on Great Lakes news and events -Provide general information on the importance of the Great Lakes ecosystem Third, Sustain Our Great Lakes is now using a Facebook page and a Twitter account to provide updates on the program and Great Lakes-related news, events and activities. We encourage you to use these sites; please become a fan or follower today! We would appreciate your help with spreading the word about the Sustain Our Great Lakes program; please share this information with your colleagues and partners. Thank you for your interest and support. If you have questions, please don't hesitate to contact me. Todd C.
