June 13: Explorer Jim Kennard Presents Lake Ontario Shipwrecks

Sackets Harbor, NY - Shipwreck explorer Jim Kennard has discovered more than
200 shipwrecks many in the waters along the Great Lakes Seaway Trail, one
of America¹s Byways and a National Recreation Trail. On June 13 starting at
10 am at the ³Red Barn² at the Sackets Harbor Battlefield State Historic
Site, Kennard will relate his Great Lakes Seaway Trail experiences of
steamers, schooners and warships and using sidescan sonar to find some of
Lake Ontario¹s historic wrecks. Admission is $15/day or $5/presentation to
benefit the Seaway Trail Foundation.

In this photo, Kennard is pointing to the engine plate on the wreck of the
steamer Morningstar in Lake Erie.
