Coal shipments on the Great Lakes in May continued to reflect the state of the economy. Loadings totaled 3.6 million tons, a decrease of 17 percent compared to a year ago. For the year, coal shipments stand at 7.3 million tons, a decrease of 35 percent compared to a year ago. See attached for more details. Glen G.
