GLIN==> Corps' 2% Investment in Great Lakes Blasted By Congress As "Woefully Inadequate"

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers' dredging allocation for the Great
Lakes in the stimulus bill - just two percent - was "woefully inadequate
and a mistake in judgment" said Congressman Peter J. Visclosky (D-IN) at
a hearing in Washington yesterday.  Rep. Visclosky also challenged the
Corps claim that "geographic diversity" was one of the criteria for
allocating funds from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.  See
