The Corps of Engineers proposed budget for Lakes dredging in FY10
slashes $32 million from last year's Congressionally-approved total, for
a decrease of 25%. Great Lakes Maritime Task Force has issued the
attached release criticizing the decision and calling on Great Lakes
legislators to increase funding and require the Harbor Maintenance Trust
Fund to spend what it takes in each year rather than amass a surplus
that is used to paper balance the budget.

See attached for more details.
