Michigan Law's Environmental Law & Policy Program Lecture Series  
Speaker on Dec. 3

The ELPP Lecture Series will present Howard A. Learner, President and  
Exec. Director of the Environmental Law and Policy Center, as the next  
speaker in the 2009-10 series.  He will discuss Growing the Green  
Economy to Solve Our Global Warming Problems ... and More on Thursday,  
Dec. 3 at 4:00 p.m. in Room 116 of Hutchins Hall.  He is also an  
Adjunct Professor, Univ. of Michigan Law School.

As head of the Environmental Law and Policy Center, Mr. Learner has  
worked to promote clean energy development solutions to global warming  
problems, improve the Midwest's environmental quality, and preserve  
the region's natural resources and heritage.  He has received the U.S.  
District Court for the Northern District of IL-Federal Bar Assoc's  
Award for Excellence in Pro Bono and Public Interest Service (2006),  
the Public Interest Law Initiative's Distinguished Public Service  
Award (2005), and has appeared in Crain's Chicago Business' "Who's Who  
in Chicago Business."
