The selected watersheds cover over 42 million acres, or more than 5 percent of the Basin's land area. EPA Urged to Set Wisconsin Water Nutrient Limits or Face Law Suit A coalition of environmental groups has notified the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) of their intention to sue EPA unless it promptly sets legal limits for the nutrients phosphorus and nitrogen in Wisconsin state waters. Two law firms, the Environmental Law & Policy Center, and Midwest Environmental Advocates, filed the notice with EPA. The 60-day notice of intent to sue follows the resolution of a similar case earlier this month between environmental groups and EPA regarding contamination in Florida waters. The full story is covered in a news article <http://www.jsonline.com/blogs/news/71962717.html> by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
