            NOAA Coastal and Waterfront Smart Growth

            GLIN's October Site of the Month is the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's Coastal and Waterfront Smart Growth. The Smart Growth website offers tools, resources, case studies and guidelines for "smart growth" in coastal areas. The website provides guidance on ways for coastal areas to grow while boosting the economy, protecting the environment and enhancing community vitality at the same time. 
           
               
           International Submerged Lands Management Conference

            The 28th International Submerged Lands Management Conference webinar series takes place this fall, focusing on submerged lands issues in the U.S., Canada, and the Caribbean.

           
           Environmental Education in Wisconsin

            E.E. in Wisconsin is a guide to environmental education organizations, programs, materials, and professionals. New on the site is the Great Lakes Education Clearinghouse (WGLEC).

           
           Go Blue

            The mission of Go Blue is to inspire Canadians to cut their water use in half and help spread the word about water conservation and fresh water resources, including the Great Lakes.

           
           U.S. Global Change Research Program
