The event reaches craft brewers from across North America, drawing  attendees from California, Texas, Oklahoma, Virginia and Maryland, as  well as the western part of the Great Lakes.

The Great Lakes Craft Brewers & Water Conservation Conference supports the goal of increased water savings mandated by the Great Lakes Compact. Vendors of water filtration systems, water meters and flow monitoring systems, and other brewing and water related services and non-governmental organizations are encouraged to join as sponsors of the event.

The conference will cover simple procedures for water savings, with  tools on how to conduct a water audit, and others. More elaborate systems suited for larger-scale brewing operations will be presented as posters.

Some highlights:

Monday evening, October 26, there will be a reception, craft beer and  cheese tasting featuring artisan cheesemakers devoted to sustainable operations, such as Bob WIlls of Cedar Grove Creamery, and buffet   dinner catered by Bartolotta's Catering, inside the Discovery World  museum, from 5-8 PM. Tickets to the reception only are $60 per   person. Several NGOs such as Clean Wisconsin, Milwaukee Riverkeepers, etc., will be there with displays.
