WHAT: Obama Task Force public hearing for Healthy Oceans and Great Lakes - Cleveland/Midwest
WHEN: Oct. 29, 4 - 7 pm
WHERE: Downtown Marriott, Key Center, 127 Public Square, Cleveland, OH
WHY: This is a chance for the Great Lakes states to say why a strong national policy for healthy Great Lakes and oceans would be good for IN, IL, MI, MN, OH, PA, NY, and WI and the nation as a whole. Specifically we can speak up on how the Great Lakes Restoration Initiative can help form a better National Policy.

BACKGROUND: On June 12, President Obama announced the creation of a federal Ocean Policy Task Force to develop a unifying national policy and framework to effectively manage the increasing amount of industrial pressure on our oceans and Great Lakes.
