*Regional Ocean Partnership DRAFT Funding Announcement* 

**NOAA has posted a draft Federal Funding Opportunity (FFO) announcement for
a NOAA Regional Ocean Partnership Funding Program on the NOAA Coastal
Services Center website at http://www.csc.noaa.gov/funding/. NOAA's intent
is to provide interested applicants additional time to review and consider
proposal content before official publication of the final FFO. Applicants
are advised that the draft FFO may change before final publication, and
proposals must align with the requirements of the final FFO. Anticipated
date of final publication is September 2010.

*SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: *The purpose of the draft FFO is to advise
eligible entities that NOAA will solicit proposals for competitive funding
for Regional Ocean Partnership activities that include or emphasize regional
Coastal and Marine Spatial Planning efforts. This competition will focus on
advancing effective coastal and ocean management through regional ocean
governance and the goals for national ocean policy set out in the July 2010
Final Recommendations of the Interagency Ocean Policy Task Force. Total
anticipated funding is approximately $20,000,000 and is subject to the
availability of FY 2011 appropriations. Details on eligibility, deadlines
and proposal requirements are available at http://www.csc.noaa.gov/funding/.
Announcement of the final official FFO will be published in the Federal
Register and on Grants.gov.
