The International Joint Commission invites you to the 

2011 Biennial Meeting on Great Lakes Water Quality

 

Join scientists, policy makers, program managers, educators and other
citizens of the binational Great Lakes basin community to discuss
efforts by our two countries to restore and maintain the health of the
globe's premier freshwater ecosystem.

 

Dialogue with IJC Board members and others about the findings from their
current work on priorities such as eating fish and health, germ-free
beaches, invasive species, nuisance algae, chemicals of emerging
concern, and understanding the nearshore zone.

 

Interact with representatives from the U.S. and Canadian Governments
about future work under a new Great Lakes Water Quality Agreement.

 

Talk with IJC Commissioners about what they should say in their 16th
Biennial Report about progress to restore the chemical, physical and
