GREAT LAKES HABITAT RESTORATION BEST PRACTICES WORKSHOP TRAVEL STIPENDS
AVAILABLE

Illinois-Indiana Sea Grant has a limited number of travel stipends available
for the Great Lakes Habitat Restoration Best Practices Workshop that is part
of the 2010 U.S. Areas of Concern Annual Meeting in Buffalo, NY on September
22 and 23, 2010. The Best Practices Workshop is designed to provide
peer-to-peer interactions to share lessons learned (tips for writing
successful restoration proposals, issues that have been encountered, etc.)
from both those that have and have not received funding. This is an effort
to allow applicants to be prepared for the next funding calls from the
federal funding agencies. If you are interested in applying for travel
funds, please send your contact information and a paragraph describing your
interest and involvement in Habitat Restoration efforts in your Great Lakes
Community to sboehme at illinois.edu by August 26th. Successful Applicants
will be informed by August 31st in order to make their travel plans. Travel
stipends will include transportation, hotel, and registration for the AOC
conference. For more information about the AOC conference go to
http://www.glc.org/rap/aocconference10.html.
