In 2010, Our Great Lake Erie is presented with a unique set of opportunities and threats.

Please join with our Lake Erie LaMP Forum members in exploring the exciting GLRI work under way and discussing the additional steps needed to preserve this valuable resource.

Lake Erie Binational Public Forum Meeting

Meeting Objectives:

-          Provide the Forum members with an overview of the Lake Erie LaMP including past public participation and current agency structure.
-          Provide the Forum members with an opportunity to learn more about the Draft Nutrient Management Strategy.
-          Provide examples of Nutrient Management Strategy implementation from agencies and watershed groups.
-          Provide the Forum members with an opportunity to discuss and provide input to nutrient management implementation approaches.
-          Provide the Forum members with the Lake Erie LaMP Work Group work plan including current discussions around the development of a Lake Erie Binational Biodiversity Conservation Strategy.
-          Provide the Forum members with an overview of The Nature Conservancy's approach to developing a Biodiversity Plan for the Lake Erie Basin.
-          Provide the Forum members with an opportunity to discuss the role of the Lake Erie Binational Public Forum.
-          Provide Forum members with an opportunity to discuss how they would like to be involved in current issues facing Lake Erie.
-          Provide the Forum members with an example of watershed reporting and report cards.
