Description:
Diana will use the past as a way to look into the future. He will show the dynamic and dramatic changes that have occurred in the Great Lakes over the past 200 years, as well as the changes likely to occur in the future.

The Great Lakes have undergone massive environmental change since European settlement, due to landscape alteration, water use, industrial processes, overfishing, and introduction of non-native species, such as bighead and silver (Asian) carp.

All all is not lost! Diana believes that we have accomplished dramatic restoration in the Great Lakes. And he is confident that we have the will and knowledge to continue that into the future.

This is an Ann Arbor Ypsilanti Reads event.
