The Great Lakes Commission is pleased to announce the Great Lakes Basin
Program for Soil Erosion and Sediment Control 2010 Request for Proposal
(RFP) for small scale erosion and sediment reduction demonstration and
information and education (I&E) projects. Applications for proposals will be
accepted between January 7, 2010 and March 16, 2010.  Please visit our

instructions and application.   

Ten to fifteen projects will be funded for up to $30,000 ($10,000 for I&E)
each. Projects can be up to 24 months in duration. There is a twenty five
percent match requirement for each project which can include in-kind
contributions.  Areas of interests include controlling erosion and sediment
in agricultural area, nonagricultural rural land, lakeshore and coastal
shoreline, forested areas, roadsides and streambanks.
