* * * Michigan State University will host a Spring Symposium on: "Climate Change Vulnerabilities and Opportunities: Michigan and Beyond" This is a continuation of the Michigan State University Climate Change Symposia held in previous years, and is supported by the Michigan Agricultural Experiment Station. The symposium will take place at the Kellogg Hotel and Conference Center on MSU campus on April 26 and 27, 2010, for one and half days. It will include multiple simultaneous sessions and several plenaries, on topics including connecting science with policy, economic and social impacts of climate change, adaptation strategies, business and local government responses, challenges and opportunities in a green economy, etc. Preliminary information about the symposium can be found at: http://www.espp.msu.edu/climatechange/symposium.php We are now accepting submission of proposals for complete 90-minute sessions and for posters. The 90 minute sessions can be /research/ sessions or /information/ sessions. /Research sessions/ are intended for the presentation of results by multiple researchers all addressing a common theme. To propose a research session please submit the session title, a brief description of the session, the list of presenters, the titles of and abstracts for their presentations and contact information including email addresses for all those involved. When the state of the science warrants, we encourage proposals for multiple linked sessions. /Information sessions/ can take many formats, including workshops, round table discussions and presentation describing programs and other activities. To propose a information session please submit a title, description and when appropriate list of presenters and the titles of their presentations, along with contact information. /Posters/ can report research results or describe a program. If you are interested in presenting a poster at the symposium, please submit a title, abstract and contact information. Submissions are due on February 15, 2010 at http://www.espp.msu.edu/climatechange/proposals.php.
